Proven In NZ Army...

Proven In NZ Army Operations in East Timor

The Swing Thru system was deployed by the New Zealand Army in East Timor and was used in Logistics Over The Shore (LOTS) operations at Suai. The situation in Suai was unique in that there was no port facility and equipment had to be transferred from cargo ships to landing craft which offloaded onto the beach. The Swing Thru units, with their ability to pick up a container on one side and transfer it to a truck on the other, were able to clear a landing craft in 10 minutes, compared with almost an hour needed to de-van on the ship and load individual items onto the landing craft.

Winner of the Defence Award...

Winner of the Defence Industry Award of Excellence 2000

The New Zealand Defence Force was so impressed with the strength, flexibility, ease of operation and adaptability of the Swing Thru system they awarded it the Defence Industry Award of Excellence 2000.

The Defence Industry Committee Awards of Excellence were set up to recognise the achievements of New Zealand companies, which contribute to New Zealand's prosperity through their contribution in support of the New Zealand Defence Force.

Strength, Versatility, Simplicity...

Strength, Versatility, Simplicity, Safety, Ease of Operation

The robust Swing Thru materials handling systems have the ability to cope with rough terrain operation and offer militaries world-wide the most cost effective, versatile container handling system on the market.

The simple operation of the Swing Thru system means that specialist operators are not required – the truck driver is the operator.

In many cases the clip-on Swing Thru can be used with exiting trucks or trailers negating the need to purchase dedidated vehicles for the task of container handling.

The deployability of the Swing Thru system is limited only by the capabilities of the host vehicle and does not require a paved surface to operate from. Swing Thru overcomes many of the difficulties currently experienced when using other systems because of its level-loading ability and complements existing materials handling systems such as DROPS and PLS.

The Swing Thru system is accurate and fast while remaining gentle making it ideal for assembling ISO container-based shelters and hospital systems etc.
